Accessibility
Built for everyone — especially the people we serve.
Effective: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: April 26, 2026
ClearPath products are designed for older adults, family members of all ages, and the professionals who care for them. Accessibility isn't an afterthought; it's the entire premise of the work. This statement explains how clearpathflex.com and the ClearPath Remind application meet accessibility standards, what we've done to remove barriers, and how to reach us if something doesn't work for you.
Standards we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across our website and the ClearPath Remind application. We design with accessibility in mind from the start, not as a retrofit, and we test with assistive technologies including screen readers (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on iOS and macOS) and high-contrast modes.
What we've built in
Readable type
Body text on this site is set at 16 to 17 pixels minimum, with line height tuned for older eyes. The ClearPath Remind tablet displays reminder text at much larger sizes — ranging from 32 to 80 pixels depending on context — with no need for users to adjust settings.
High contrast
Text-to-background contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios across all primary content. Our color palette was chosen for readability first and aesthetics second — never the other way around.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element on this website can be reached with the Tab key. Focus indicators are visible and clear. The site does not trap focus inside any component.
Screen reader support
Headings, landmarks, alternative text, and ARIA labels are used appropriately so the page can be read aloud in a logical order. Decorative graphics are marked as such and skipped by assistive technology.
Reduced motion
Animations on the website respect the user's prefers-reduced-motion setting. The ClearPath Remind tablet keeps motion to a minimum by default; reminders fade in calmly without jarring transitions.
Touch targets
Buttons and tap targets in the tablet application are sized to be reachable by people with limited dexterity, including users with arthritis or tremor.
Plain language
We write for clarity, not cleverness. Our pages are intended to be readable without specialized vocabulary. If you find a passage that confuses you, we want to hear about it.
Where we're still working
We don't pretend to be finished. The areas we know we have more work to do:
PDFs. Documents we publish as PDF may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. We're remediating older files and producing new ones to standard.
Animations. The marketing site uses some animated transitions to add visual rhythm. We've made them subtle and they respect reduced-motion preferences, but we continue to evaluate whether they create barriers for any users.
Voice input and output. The ClearPath Remind tablet does not yet support voice input or screen-reader output natively. Voice integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home is on our development roadmap.
Alternate formats
If you need information from this site in an alternate format — large print, plain text, or read aloud — email accessibility@clearpathflex.com and we will send it to you.
If something isn't working
We want to hear from you, and we mean that. If any part of this site or the ClearPath Remind application is hard to use, please let us know.

Formal complaints
If you have raised an accessibility concern with us and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. We hope it never comes to that — please give us a chance to fix it first.
